With so much noise online and new businesses going viral every day. How is your business able to stand out? When we think of branding, many of us automatically assume that only large businesses with a large marketing budget use this. And that, my friend, is not true. If you are among the many Facebook or Instagram users, you very well may have already had a brand. Personal branding is how we want others to view us. Not to be confused with persona. Persona is only part of the image that we want to be seen as, whereas branding showcases the authentic version of ourselves. At least, that’s what effective branding does.

It seems as if personal branding has never been more critical than it is today because of the ability for anyone to create a social media page and start a successful business. With the increase in competitors for multiple markets, all business owners need to stand out in the crowd. The best and most effective way to do that is to develop a quality personal brand, which will add value to your business. Having a personal brand allows you to control the narrative about who you are as a business owner and what you stand for. It’s a way of removing the barrier between you, the content creator, and your audience. Having a clear, concise brand is one of the best ways to cut through the noise and be heard. When developing your brand, a few things to keep in mind are: how do you want to be known to your audience, what words do you want to be used to describe you and your business, and do you want to charge high-value prices?

Here are a few strategies that you can implement today to increase your brand awareness, causing an increase in conversion and sales.

The first steps to creating your branding strategy.

  • Start with a solid foundation
  • What is your purpose?
  • Who is your audience?
  • What do you have to offer?

Your purpose, audience, and your offer combined all make up your brand. The way you’re presenting yourself to your market should reflect each of these things to impact them positively. If not, it’s ok to go back to the drawing board to figure it out. After you have clearly defined each of these questions, write it down or type it up because this is the VISION for your brand and business. Throughout your time as a business owner, you will continue to grow. It’s a good practice to monitor your brand vision and your strategies’ progress to see if changes need to be made or to be sure you’re still on track. BE CONFIDENT & INSPIRED ABOUT YOUR BRAND SO YOUR FUTURE AUDIENCE WILL BE TOO!
